What have you enjoyed most about your career?

“I have really enjoyed working with my team to bring a storytelling element to our state!”

How did Carthage prepare you?

“The small class sizes at Carthage made me more comfortable with public speaking, which is a huge part of my job. All of the classes in my majors also prepared me for real-life experiences.”

Why did you choose Carthage?

“I chose Carthage because of the tight-knit community. I knew I would have more opportunities than I would at a larger school.”

What opportunities were made possible because of your Carthage experience?

“I gained leadership opportunities, was a guest speaker in classes, and traveled to the National Conference on Undergraduate Research to present my senior thesis, thanks to a Carthage grant.”

What Carthage professors played a part in your success and how?

“I couldn’t be more thankful for my relationship with Professor Colleen Palmer. I met Prof. Palmer during my sophomore year when I changed my majors to public relations and communication. From that point, I knew she would have a large impact on my college experience. Prof. Palmer is not only an amazing professor, but a great mentor and an even better friend.”

What's your favorite Carthage memory?

“One of my favorite memories is driving down Campus Drive with my roommates before our sorority chapter while blasting music at the end of our senior year.”

Tips for current Carthage students?

“Take every opportunity; you never know how it will help you in the future!”
